The Kangra Central cooperative Bank Limited, a leading Cooperative Bank of the Northern India, invites ONLINE applications from the eligible candidates for the recruitment to various categories of posts in the Bank purely on contract basis. Those who have applied to the Bank in response to the Bank’s earlier advertisement dated 14-08-2007, 16-08-2007 and 04-09-2007 in “Amar Uajala” and “The Tribune” need not apply again. Note:
The reservation has been worked out as per State Government Guidelines taking into
account the excess/shortfall in each category. The number of vacancies as also the number of reserved vacancies are provisional and may vary for various categories of posts. It is clarified that it may not be possible to employ physically challenged candidates in all offices/branches of the Bank and they, in case of selection, have to work in the post identified by the Bank as suitable for them.
Age:
Between 18 and 45 years as on 01/01/2011. Relaxation in age shall be as per State
Government guidelines.
Eligibility:( as on 01/01/2011)
1) For Grade-II : Manager: Graduation or Equivalent with 55% marks OR Commerce
Graduate with 50% marks from an university recognised by State/Central Government with
Computer Knowledge and CAIIB
For SC/ST/OBC and Physically Challenged candidates, 5% relaxation in marks is allowed.
Experience : At least 4 years in Banking in any Nationalised/Private/Cooperative Bank or
Financial Institution.
2) For Gr-II Law Officer
i. L.L.B from a recognised university
ii. At least 5 years professional experience as an advocate preferably in Banking
3) For Gr-III Officer
Graduation or Equivalent with 55% marks OR Commerce Graduate
with 50% marks from a university recognised by State/Central Government with Computer
Knowledge
For SC/ST/OBC and Physically Challenged candidates 5% relaxation in marks is allowed.
4) For Grade-III : Jr. Computer Programmer
MCA / M. Sc. Copmuter or IT/ B.E or B.Tech in Computer or IT with 55% marks from any university recognised by State/Central Government.
For SC/ST/OBC and Physically Challenged candidates 5% relaxation in marks is allowed.
5) For Gr-IV : Clerks
10+2 with at least 50% marks or Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline. For SC/ST/OBC and Physically Challenged candidates 5% relaxation in marks is allowed.
6-A) For Gr-IV Trained Secretaries/Assistance Secretaries of PACS
under 80% quota 10+2 with at least 50% marks or Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline having at least 5 years experience in Cooperative Society For SC/ST/OBC and Physically Challenged candidates 5% relaxation in marks is allowed. Concession/grace of 5% marks in minimum qualification is to be extended for trained secretaries/Asstt. Secretaries having diploma in cooperation.
6-B) For Gr-IV Employees of Cooperative Societies – under 20% quota
10+2 with at least 50% marks or Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline For SC/ST/OBC and Physically Challenged candidates 5% relaxation in marks is allowed
7) For Grade-IV : Computer Operator
BCA / B.Sc. in Computer or IT or higher qualification as specified for the post of Jr Computer Programmer (i.e : MCA / M. Sc. Copmuter or IT/ B.E or B.Tech in Computer or IT ) from University/Technical Institute recognised by State/Central Government
For Grade-IV : Steno/Typist :
i. 10+2 with 55% marks or Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline
ii. Should possess a speed of 30 words in typing and 80 words in Shorthand, in both Hindi
and English (bilingual)
Desirable Qualification:
Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Selection Procedure:
The selection will be made based on written test and interview. The written test will be of multiple choice objective type. The examination will be on Test of Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge/Financial Awareness, Computer & Clerical Aptitude. Out of these tests listed above the composition / number of tests will depend upon the post /grade applied for. For Specialist post, examination will also contain questions related to specific specialisation. Details about the test, Sample Questions, How to mark Answers on OMR Answersheets, Time allotted etc. will be provided in the information Handout. Shorthand/Typing/Data Entry Test will be conducted only for the candidates who qualify
in written examination. The candidates will have to appear in the written test and interview at their own expense.

Terms of Employment:
1. The appointment will be purely on temporary basis initially for one year only.
2. The contract may be renewed after expiry of the contracted period subject to the
performance of the candidate and availability of the vacancies.
3. After the completion of 5 years of contractual period in continuity, they shall be eligible for
regularisation subject to availability of vacancies, eligibility, suitability and satisfactory
performance of the candidate.
4. The service may be terminated on any of the following ground/reasons.
i. for the reasons of unauthorised absence from duty
ii. the work and conduct of the contractee is not found satisfactory
iii. By giving two months notice to the Bank failing which one month salary shall be forfeited (in case of resignation by the contractee)

Bank may send call letters for written test, interview etc. through the registered email ID. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/ mention email ID to/ or of any other person.
3. In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she should create his/ her new email ID before applying Online.
4. Applicants are first required to go to the Bank’s website www.kccb.in and open the link
‘Recruitment’. Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification entitled ‘KCCB,
RECRUITMENT PROJECT – 2011′ .
5. Take a print of the entire Recruitment Notification, including the ‘FEES PAYMENT
CHALLAN’.
6. Fill in the Fee Payment Challan in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.
7. Go to the nearest branch of either of the following Banks with the Payment Challan duly
filled in and pay, in cash the appropriate application fee in the account number shown
against the name of the Bank in favour of “KCCB Recruitment 2011 A/c ”.

sublink will open up the appropriate Online Application Format.
10. Carefully fill in the necessary details from the Fee Payment Challan in the Online
Application Form at the appropriate places and submit the same Online.
11. Original counterfoil of the fee payment challan will have to be submitted with the Call
Letter at the time of written test. Without counterfoil of the fee payment challan, the
candidates will not be allowed to appear in the written test. Candidates are, therefore,
advised to keep 3 photocopies of the fee payment challan for future use.
12. The name of the candidate or his/ her father/ husband etc should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/ mark sheets. Any change/ alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

Instructions:
i. Before filling in the application form, the candidate must ensure that he/ she fulfills all the eligibility criteria with respect to age, educational qualifications etc. in respect of the post for which he / she is making the application and that the particulars furnished in the application form are correct in all respects. In case it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility criteria, and / or that he / she has furnished any incorrect information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his / her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after the appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated.
