Applications in the prescribed format given below are invited from Indian Citizens and such other nationals as are declared eligible by Govt. of India for recruitment to the undermentioned posts.
Chemical Examiner
Pay Scale: Rs.37,400/- – 60,000/-(PB-5) with Grade Pay of Rs.9,500/-
Qualification:
i) 1st Class Master Degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry with Honours in Chemistry in  Bachelor  Degree  or  its  equivalent.
ii)  Minimum  15  years’  experience  in  a  senior  position  of  an  analytical
laboratory of repute and having sound knowledge of handling modern analytical instruments.
iii) Doctorate Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry,
(iv) Adequate administrative experience of working in an  analytical laboratory of repute.
Deputy Director
Pay Scale: Rs.9, 000/- – 40,500/- /-(PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.6, 600/-
Qualfiication:
a) Master degree in Animal Husbandry or Bachelor degree in Veterinary Science and  having  registration with  the West  Bengal Veterinary Council constituted  under  the  Indian Veterinary Council  Act, 1984 (52 of 1984).
b) 8(eight) years’ experience in total in the Field/Farm disease investigation in laboratory, experience in the State Government/Central Government Farms or in the State Government Undertaking Farms/Central Government Undertaking Farms or in any Joint Sector Farms under the control of State Government/Central Government.
Lecturer
Pay Scale: Rs.9, 000/- – 40,500/- (PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.5, 400/-
Qualification:
(i) 1st class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent;
(ii) Two years’ experience in Teaching/ Research/ Industry;
(iii) Special Knowledge in one or more subjects in Architecture;
(iv) Good power of expression in Bengali – spoken and written.
Architecture
Pay Scale: Rs.9, 000/- – 40,500/- (PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.5, 400/-
Qualification:
i)1st Class Bachelor’s Degree or  a 1st Class Post Graduate Degree in Instrumentation Engg./ Technology or 1st Class Diploma in Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication Engg. or Electrical Engg. with post-diploma qualifications in Instrumentation Engg./ Technology, or any equivalent qualification,
(ii) 2(two) years experience in teaching/ research/ industry after acquiring the essential qualifications mentioned above.
iii) Special knowledge in process control, instrumentation or Micro- Processor Controlled instrumentation.
iv) Good power of expression in Bengali/ Nepali – Spoken and Written
Assistant Mistress
Pay Scale: Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/-/- (PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.4,800/- for candidates with Master’s Degree and Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/- /-(PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.4,700/- for candidates with Honours Degree.
Assistant Master (Geography)
Pay Scale: Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/-/- (PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.4,800/- for candidates with Master’s Degree and Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/- /-(PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.4,700/- for candidates with Honours Degree.
Assistant Master (English Medium)
Pay Scale: Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/-/- (PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.4,800/- for candidates with Master’s Degree and Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/- /-(PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.4,700/- for candidates with Honours Degree.
Sub Editor (Nepali Language)
Pay Scale: Pay Band – 4, Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/-/-(PB-4) with Grade Pay Rs.4,400/-.
Qualification:
(i)  An  Honours  Degree  from  a  recognised  University.
(ii)  2(  two)  years’ experience as Sub-Editor or Working Journalist in any media house of repute; or 2(two) years’ experience as mass communication practitioner in the Public Relations Wing of Government, Semi-Government Organisation or/and Corporate House or Reputed Advertisement Agencies with experience of bringing out-house journals and publicity materials in Print Media.
(iii) Knowledge, experience and ability to prepare original manuscripts in Nepali and reproductions of illustrations.
(iv) Knowledge, experience and ability to translate from English to Nepali and viceversa.
(v) Thorough knowledge and ability of proof reading in Nepali.
(vi) Knowledge, experience and ability to undertake and supervise computer aided page designing.
Drawing Master (English Medium)
Pay Scale: (i) Rs. 7,100/- – Rs. 37,600/- /-(PB-3) with Grade Pay Rs. 4,100/- for Diploma holders from Government College of Art and Craft and (ii) Rs. 7,100/- – Rs. 37,600/- (PB-3) with Grade Pay Rs. 3,900/- for other Diploma holders.
Qualification:
i)Diploma in Art from Govt. College of Art and Craft or from Kala Bhawan, Viswa Bharati or equivalent;
ii) Proficiency in more than one branch of craft;
(iii) Knowledge in English – Spoken & Written.
Application Fee:
Candidates  must  enclose  with  their  application a  fee  of  Rs.210/- (Rupees two hundred and ten)  only for  posts at item No. 1 to 3 & Rs. 160/- (Rupees one hundred sixty) only for posts at item No. 4 to 8   by  Indian  Postal   Order  which  MUST  BE  PURCHASED  ON  A  DATE  AFTER  PUBLICATION  OF  THIS  ADVERTISEMENT  and  crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a receipted Challan from  a   Govt.  Treasury  in  West  Bengal  or  the  Reserve  Bank  of  India,  Kolkata  under  the  head  “0051-00-105-State  PSC  Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees”.  The Postal Orders should be made payable at G.P.O.,  Kolkata.   Money Order, Cheque, Bank Draft, Cash etc. will not be accepted. No application will be considered  unless accompanied with the requisite application fees. Candidates belonging to S.C./S.T. of West Bengal and  persons with disabilities specified under Persons With Disabilities Rules, 1999 are not required to pay any fee. The   application  of  such  candidates  will  not  be  accepted  if  the  same  is  not  accompanied  with  the  attested  copy  of  S.C./S.T./Persons with Disabilities certificate. Such exemption of fees is, however, not applicable to any B.C. candidate. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.

Application may also be submitted personally between 11-00 a.m. and 3-30 p.m. on all working days to the above address of the Commission’s office on or before the closing date.
